As language changes, so do the terms used to describe the human body, particularly in the day-to-day, non-medical context. The terms you’ll find in this book are a mix of current and obsolete slang from the English-speaking world – some dating back to the birth of the language and others that would be right at home in the 18th century Vulgar Dictionary. However, this book is not an exhaustive survey of anatomical slang but offers more than one hundred examples of the absurdity and humor of colloquial terminology.
